MPs and first responders mourn the death of Williamson County Lt.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Deputies in the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office mourn the death of a lieutenant.
Lt. James Giles died Monday morning, according to law enforcement social media posts.
A Facebook post read: “Lieutenant. Giles was a seasoned public safety and Marine veteran who served his country and the WCSO with a selfless heart for many years.
The sheriff’s office has asked people to keep those close to Giles in their prayers.
“This will be a big blow to the agency as Lt. Giles was a highly respected employee, peer, friend, leader and mentor to many,” the Facebook post said.
The Williamson County Emergency Management Office posted on Twitter that Giles “has served his country and Williamson County with a selfless heart for many years.” Other county first responders and law enforcement agencies posted memorabilia of Giles and offered their condolences to family members and colleagues.
The sheriff’s office said it will release information on funeral arrangements and service details soon.
No cause of death for Giles is immediately known.
